- City Oilers vs KIU Titans – 8:30 pm, YMCA

Having been at the finals a couple of seasons ago and crushing out at the second round last year, the hierarchy at KIU Titans feels this is the season they should return to the championship round.
However, the easier route to finals (which is also the only way) is avoiding six-time champions City Oilers before the championship round.
For all the other teams looked at as contenders including KIU Titans, the work is cut out but the game against title favourites says a lot.
And the matchup between champions City Oilers and 2017 finalists KIU Titans at YMCA, Wandegeya on Friday night promises to be a season marker.
The Titans (1-1), who shook up their roster but kept their core, will be hoping to use last year’s regular season blueprints as they look to bounce back from the shabby showing against Power last weekend.
Michael Bwanga took the game to Oilers especially in the second round meeting and having done nothing up-loadable in the game against Power, head coach Brian Wathum will hope he shows out along with Sudi Ulanga and Denis Balungu.
Francis Kasinde will feel the brute of James Okello while Oscar Muge will have nothing easy against Landry Ndikumana.
It will also be interesting how Brian Ssentongo fairs against Nigerian import Francis Azolibe who is still adjusting to the Ugandan game.
Oilers (2-0) boast of the most productive bench that consists of Tony Drileba, Ivan Muhwezi, Josh Johnson, Azolibe plus yet to return Jonathan Egau and Daniel Jjuko.
