KCCA players celebrate league triumph at the Arena of Visions

Already declared Uganda Premier League champions, Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) had two positives when they visited Nyamityobora at the Kakyeka Stadium on the second last day of the season.

KCCA won the game 2-0 to attain their 18th victory of the season and were playing merely to uphold their status quo.

Striker Patrick Henry Kaddu scored a brace to win the ‘Kasasiro lads’ maximum points.

Kaddu’s first goal arrived after just 10 minutes into the game, with the assist coming off Allan Okello.

The second goal arrived on the stroke of half time, a decent header off Jackson Nunda’s delivery.

Kaddu took his personal tally of goals to 12, same as Vipers’ Daniel Muzeyi Sserunkuma, but 7 shy of the current league top scorer Juma Balinya.

The Champions who will be crowned on Saturday, 4th May 2019 finished the game with 10 men when midfielder Nicholas Kasozi was red carded by referee Ali Bakisula for unsporting conduct, following a second booking.

Kasozi had earlier been booked in the 65th minute as well as Nyamityobora’s Ibrahim Mpengere.

Nyamityobora suffered their 20th loss of the season.

KCCA has now tallied 63 points from 29 games will seek maximum points against Maroons on Saturday to make it 66, on a day they will officially recieve their medals and trophy for the hard toiled sweat all season round.
