The former left back was capped 46 times by his native South Africa, including two FIFA World Cup tournaments in 1998 (France) and 2002 (with a goal in South Korea and Japan).
Clad in a blue shirt, black trousers and brown sneakers, Fortune arrived in Uganda on Saturday.
Lungi Koni, the Kansai Plascon Brand manager welcomed the jovial football legend who won three English Premiership titles with Manchester United.

The South African, who enjoyed a 7year spell at United, is in the country as part of a Kansai Plascon and Manchester United partnership.
This partnership will also include a visit by United coaches later in the month for a two-day tutorship program with Excel Soccer Academy.
Fortune is also in Uganda as part of a reward for winners who took part in a Kansai Plascon radio and online activation for autographed Manchester United jerseys.

He has emphasized the importance of corporate sponsorship in sports development.
Quinton Fortune, Former South African and Manchester United footballer
It brings me joy whenever I see corporate companies investing in sports. There is an increase in the diversity of these brands. A while back it was only beverages, banks and sports brands that made investments in sports, but today Kansai Plascon a globally renowned paint company is investing in sports. Everyone is appreciating the benefits of sports investment, and that’s great for aspiring sports men

This is the third time that Fortune is in Uganda following his earlier visits in 2012 and 2013.
In 2012, he traveled to Kampala with ex-goalkeeper Gary Bailey on working tour.

Fortune was born in Cape Town city, South Africa and moved to the United Kingdom (UK) aged 14 years.
He started his youth career at Tottenham Hotspur before he featured at Mallorca, Atletico Madrid B, Atletico Madrid senior team, Manchester United, Bolton Wanderers, Brescia, Tubize and returned at Doncaster Rovers in 2010.
He spent seven years at Manchester United, playing 76 matches where he scored 5 goals.
He won three English Premier League titles with the Red Devils, one FA Community Shield and one intercontinental cup in 1999.
Fortune, on his previous visit in Uganda named former teammate at Manchester United Roy Keane as the toughest opponent he played with, albeit in training sessions.
He identified Cristiano Ronaldo as the most skillful player he ever played with at United.
Since retirement, Fortune been into coaching (was once assistant coach at Cardiff City in 2014), has worked as a TV pundit and a model for an anti-domestic violence group called Tender as part of their “Don’t Kick Off campaign”.
