
Kenya Harambee Stars coach Sebastien Migne has named the Afcon 2019 provisional squad minus Zesco United forward Jackson Jesse Were and Afc Leopards defender David ‘Cheche’ Ochieng.
The two are the biggest casualties from the squad that has usual faces Victor Wanyama, the team captain from Tottenham Hotspur, Japan-based Michael Olunga and Kakamega Home Boyz coach-player Allan Wanga.
The Harambee Stars will camp in Paris, France to June 18, before flying to Cairo, Egypt five days before their opening Group C match against Algeria. The other teams in the pool are Senegal and Tanzania.
Kenya qualified from a group that had Ghana, Ethiopia and banned Sierra Leone and it was the first time they reached the finals since 2004.
