Weatherhead Hockey Club extended their brilliant performance this season with yet another victory against rivals Wananchi over the weekend.
A spirited performance from Weatherhead who remain the only team yet to suffer defeat saw them brush aside bitter rivals Wananchi winning the closely contested encounter 2-1.
Moses Tushabe gave Weatherhead the lead in the 14th minute but the lead was short-lived with Wananchi restoring parity three minutes later through Owili Okecha.

However, Weatherhead sealed maximum points later on in the game with coach-player Vincent Kasasa scoring in the 41st minute.
The victory means Weatherhead maintain their grip at the top of the table with 22 points, five ahead of second-placed Wananchi.
This was the first loss for the defending champions this season.
In the other games played, Rockets stunned Simba securing their second win this season thanks to goals from Simon Peter Oyugi and Michael Nashimolo.
The City Lions got their consolation through Muhammad Ali.
Kampala Hockey Club (KHC) did not find trouble in dispatching hapless Makerere winning the game 5-1 to remain third on the log with 16 points.
Samuel Mwesigwa led the way with a brace before Jordan Mpiima, Stuart Kavuma and Ronald Ssemwogerere also got onto the score sheet.
Makerere got it’s goal through Harlod Ntale and remained third from bottom on 7 points.
In the ladies’ category, defending champions Wananchi defeated Deliverance Church Uganda (DCU) with a 3-0 score.
Teopista Anyango, Hajira Namwase and Peace Makhoha scored a goal each for Wananchi.
The game between Rhino and Kampala Hockey Club ended in a goalless stalemate.
