Like we reported weeks earlier that Tooro United Football Club had acquired another key stakeholder, millionaire Spelito Ssesanga was on Tuesday confirmed at the Acacia mall, the club’s new administrative home base.
Ssesanga was officially unveiled to the media as co-owner of the club during a brief albeit well-attended event.
A filthy rich businessman who has amassed wealth over his wide network of tasks at hand, Ssesanga confessed his undying love for KCCA Football Club which he departed because of personal reasons.

I have decided to join hands with my brother smart obed to manage tooro united because first of all, I love football very much. secondly, I thought I could make a meaningful contribution to football than being merely a fan I was at kcca. I was also a member of cbs fans’ club.

Kawowo Sports confirmed that indeed Ssesanga forked deep in his meager financial coffers to pay a handsome Shs 200M to secure 51 percent shares in the club that will maintain its home base in Fort Portal, Western Uganda.
He has revealed his immediate tasks to transform Tooro United into a fully professionally run club.
WE HAVE GOOD OFFICES NOW, WE SHALL LAY GOOD STRATEGIES TOGETHER WITH MY OTHER COLLEAGUES SO THAT WE SECURE PROFESSIONALISM IN THE CLUB. WE SHALL ALSO SEEK FOR SPONSORS ON BOARD.

Addressing the media, Smart Akiiki Obed made it clear that the club was not sold contrary to media reports. He rather clarified that he sought collaboration with a new partner to surge forward.
BEARING THE BURDEN OF A FOOTBALL CLUB IS NOT EASY AS AN INDIVIDUAL. I WAS ALWAYS ON THE LOOKOUT TO SEEK FOR PEOPLE TO WORK WITH. I AM HAPPY THAT I GOT A TRUSTWORTHY PARTNER IN MR SSESANGA. wE SHALL BE ABLE TO WORK TOGETHER, TAKE ALL DECISIONS TOGETHER AS THE CLUB GROWS AND GROWS FURTHER

Coaster:
The club will no longer be transported in borrowed cars from Soana Investments, but rather have a coaster to ease transport during training sessions and matches – thanks to Ssesanga.
“Of course the media wants to reveal things when not ready. But, when the coaster finally comes, we shall reveal,” Ssesanga now opens up.
In the same vein, the club offices shift from Lumumba avenue where they co-shared with Soana Investments to the posh apartments at Acacia Mall.
Meanwhile, Obed confirmed Wasswa Bbosa will carry on as the club’s head coach, after the renewal of his employment contract by another 12 months.
It is reportedly said that Bbosa pocketed Shs 13M to append his signature on the treasured dotted lines of the new employment contract that will see him earn Shs 3M per month with Shs 100,000 per day in training allowances and undisclosed match allowances.
Tooro United will host their first games of the 2019/2020 in Fort Portal at St Leos’ Play ground.

Shs 250M Players’ Budget:
The club has set Shs 250M to help in facilitating the players and coaches for better results, as confirmed by the club CEO, Moses Tusiime.
This money is being looked at as sign-on fees, daily and match allowances as well as for monthly salaries.
Tooro United FC also has a new club chairman Owek. Michael Wandera who doubles as the Tooro Kingdom minister of sports.

Last season, Tooro United FC completed the Uganda Premier League in a respectable 4th position, their best placing since attaining promotion in 2012.
In the Stanbic Uganda Cup, Tooro United was ejected by Wakiso Giants at the round of 16 stage 4-2 in post-match penalties after a goalless draw in normal time.
Earlier, they had eliminated holders KCCA 5-4 in a shoot out after a one all draw in normal time during the round of 32.

Bbosa’s stay at the club means a great deal for players who wanted to shift base with him.
With talisman, Allan Kayiwa deeply entangled in cozy romance with Vipers Sports Club, the likes of Baker Buyala, Steven Luswata, Mahad Yaya, Isa Lumu, Fahad Kawooya, Simon Peter Sserunkuma could be forced to change their mind and stay.
