Onduparaka Football Club captain Rashid ‘Freedom’ Toha has bid farewell to the club.
With reports indicating the lanky defender will join Vipers SC, Toha took to his official Facebook account to say goodbye to the Caterpillars.
“Life goes in cycles and mine at my beloved Onduparaka FC has drawn to an end,” the statement starts.
He went ahead to thank the team for the six years he has been with the West Nile based outfit.
“Upon reaching this point, I would love to thank the entire Onduparaka FC family, my teammates with whom I have shared six good years and who I forever think as a family, Chairman, coaching staff, doctors and the kit men and each and every person at the club.
“Thank you for making me a better player and above all make me fulfill my childhood dreams of playing the top tier league in Uganda and becoming part of the history of this great club.”
“And finally to the superb and fantastic fans of this great club and I want to wish Onduparaka FC the greatest successes in the future and where ever life takes me I will always take you in my heart and always be a fan And hopefully one day our paths cross again.”
Toha is one of the players that helped Onduparaka FC gain promotion to the top tier league in 2016.
He has been a key player for the Caterpillars and went ahead to earn calls on the national team.
