Warriors host Heathens at Legends Rugby Grounds on Saturday, January 18, 2020, with both teams targetting to continue their unbeaten run in the Nile Special Stout Rugby Premier League.

Heathens come off a strong 34-13 home win against Entebbe-based Mongers which captain Wokorach described as motivational in the club’s target of defending the league title.

Warriors overcame a looming upset on the same day against Jinja Hippos at Legends. The Warriors pulled off a 26-20 comeback at home inspired by Richard Kinyai’s near-perfect kicking that included a wonder drop goal from about 30m away.

The last league meeting between the two sides happened at the same venue in the second round. Heathens were 20-09 victors over the Warriors.

This season, Heathens proved to be stronger than the Warriors in the Uganda Cup with a 36-00 commanding display.

Heathens have since lost one game (to Kobs in the Uganda Cup final) while Warriors are yet to taste defeat thus far.

This match is critical to both teams’ standings on the log, as the loser in the match could drop to third place behind either Kobs or Pirates that are lurking behind them.
