Tooro United registered their second victory in the 2021 FUFA Big League with a hard fought 1-0 win on the road away to Proline at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo in Kampala on Sunday, March 28, 2021.

Marvin Oshaba scored the all important goal in the 11th minute of the game in the Rwenzori group.

Oshaba was well positioned to tap into an empty net following a mistake by goalkeeper Nicholas Ssebwato who failed to tame Julius Pillot’s harm-less free-kick before Pato Sserunjoji set up the ball for the simplest of all finishes.

Proline fought gallantly and missed equalizing the game with foiled attacks by captain Noordin Bunjo, Rodgers Mato, Hakim Kiwanuka, Ivan Ocholit, Savio Kabugo and second half substitute Brian Umony.

Tooro United, an entity coached by Edward Golola held onto the early lead to win the game, their second consecutive victory following a 2-1 victory on match day one away at the Buhinga Stadium in Fort Portal.

Other Rwenzori group games ended in draws. Luwero United was held by visiting Nyamityobora 1-all at the Kosovo Arena in Kasana, Luwero.

The same result was recorded at the Arena of Visions as Ndejje University  hosted newly promoted Terrazo and Tiles from Mbarara City, Western Uganda.

Water and Kigezi Home Boyz played to a goal-less draw at the Kavumba Recreational Stadium in Wakiso.

Elgon Group:

In the Elgon group, Paidha Black Angels and visiting Mbale Heroes shared the spoils 1-all at the Bar Okoro stadium in Zombo.

At the Kyabazinga Stadium in Bugembe, Jinja City, Gaddafi lost 2-0 at home to visiting Maroons.

Fred Amaku scored both goals for Maroons, a club coached by Charles Ayiekoh Lukula.

Match day three of the FUFA Big League will come on 1st April 2021.

Three clubs will be promoted to the 2021-22 Uganda Premier League. Two clubs are promoted directly from the two groups (Elgon and Rwenzori).

The third club is determined via a promotional play-off.
