On a rainy Tuesday, the 2021 Uganda Cup draws for the round of 32 stage were held at the home of Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) in Mengo, Kampala.

Daniel Kayongo (Kansai Plascon) and Sonia Karamagi (Stanbic Bank) represented the sponsors at the draw event overseen by the FUFA Competitions Director Aisha Nalule.

Nalule was flanked by Ahmed Hussein (FUFA Communications director), Humphrey Mandu Watenga (FUFA Deputy CEO – Services) and Bernard Bainamani (CEO, Uganda Premier League).

“This season round, the format of the Uganda Cup changed because of the COVID-19 pandemic. We shall have only Uganda Premier League and FUFA Big League clubs at the 47th edition all starting at the round of 32 with two legs. The round of 32 will be played between 5th and 12th April 2021,” Nalule disclosed.

During the draws proper, three fixtures will involve all top-flight clubs. 2016 Uganda Cup champions Vipers will face Busoga United at the St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.

Kyetume drew Express with the two legs taking part at the FUFA Technical Center, Njeru and Mutesa II Wankulukuku.

The tax collectors Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) take on Mbarara City.

Other fixtures:

The other 13 fixtures will involve top tier clubs against FUFA Big League entites.

Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) will face Nyamityobora.

Mbarara based FUFA Big League side Terrazo and Tiles will play Maroons.

Another second division side Luwero United will square up against Onduparaka.

Water takes on Wakiso Giants, Kitara will lock horns against Kigezi Home Boyz whilst Bukedea based Blacks Power faces BUL. Police are up against Calvary and free-spending Arua Hill will play UPDF.

SC Villa entertains Ndejje University.

The round of 32 will be played between 5th and 12th April 2021.
