Soltilo Bright Stars maintained their impressive run, winning with comfort, 3-0 against newly promoted Malaba Youth Development Association (MYDA) at the King George IV Memorial stadium in Tororo.

The Joseph duo of Akandwanaho and Janjali as well as Samuel Kayongo Ssemakatte lifted the visitors to a memorable victory.

Akandanwaho gave Soltilo Bright Stars the early lead in the second minute as the opening half ended 1-0.

Janjali got the second seven minutes into the second half with Ssekamatte applying the icing on the already bake cake in the 65th minute.

MYDA suffered a red card to Paul Musamali in the 75th minute with Rashid Mpaata and Brandy Lojum also cautioned.

Soltilo Bright Stars’ Andrew Kaggwa was the only booked player for the away team in the 30th minute.

With the victory, Bake Mbowa and Simon Peter Mugerwa’s coached side climbed to 8th on the 16 team log with 26 points.

Akandanahwo was named the pilsner man of the match for the third time this season.

Consequently, MYDA was subjected to the 14th defeat in 18 matches which leaves them second from bottom with only 6 points fetched, only better of Kitara who fell 3-0 to Vipers at their new home base in Masindi.

Meanwhile, Busoga United edged Police 2-1 at the FUFA Technical Center – Njeru on the same day.

Busoga United scored through Paul Ssekulima and roving right back Franco Onen. Herman Wasswa Nteza got Police’s consolation.

A 10 man Mbarara City managed a point off Express during the one all draw at the Betway Mutesa II Wankulukuku Stadium.

Martin Kizza Lubwama scored the opener for Express with a well curled free-kick before Henry Kitegenyi found the equalizer.

The Ankole Lions lost defender Ronald Otti via a second bookable offence in the 50th minute.

At the Kabaka Kyabaggu stadium, Wakiso Giants beat visiting Onduparaka 2-0 while UPDF overcame Kyetume 4-2 in a six goal duel played at the Military Barracks stadium in Bombo.
