Busoga United avenged to nemesis entity BUL with a slim 1-0 victory on match day 20 of the 2020-21 Uganda Premier League played at the Kyabazinga Stadium, Bugembe in Jinja city.

South Sudan’s international winger Ivan Wani scored the all important goal in the well contested duel.

Wani’s goal arrived in the 57th minute after the opening 45 minutes had ended goal-less.

There were four cautions in this physical contest with Busoga United having the lion’s share, three.

Franco Magero Balabala, Shafik Kakeeto and George Kalyowa were all booked for Busoga United.

BUL’s defender Walter Ochola was also cautioned for unsporting conduct.

Isma Mugulusi, Busoga United talisman was named the pilsner man of the match.

Busoga United attained their 6th win of the season, that teams them to 23 points as they improve to 12th on the 16 team log.

Consequently, BUL suffered their 10th loss of the season, remaining on 24 points, as they ironically stay 10th on the table standings.

BUL had won the first round game with comfort, 3-1 played at the FUFA Technical Center in December 2021.

Meanwhile, Police hammered MYDA 6-1 at the MTN Omondi stadium, Lugogo. Ben Ocen and Brian Muluuli Mayanja netted two goals each with Muwadda Mawejje and Frank Tumwesigye adding the others.

First half substitute Moses Batali who had replaced Mark Bassi scored the consolation for MYDA.

Mbarara City edged visiting SC Villa 2-1 at Kakyeka in Mbarara city. Jude Ssemugabi and a late winner from Henry Kitegenyi inspired the AnkoleLions to a memorable victory.

SC Villa’s captain Emmanuel Alex Wasswa got the consolation for Sports Club Villa.

Soltilo Bright Stars shared the spoils with URA during the goalless draw at Kavumba.
