Morley Byekwaso rued missed chances in the goalless draw with DR Congo in Uganda Kobs’ opening game in the Cecafa Cup although takes home a point.

The two teams failed to break each other’s backline and shared spoils in Group A in a lunch time kick off in Bahir Dar International stadium on Sunday.

“It was a tough game against a very good aggressive side,” said Byekwaso. “But we played well especially in the first half but were only let down by our forwards not being effective. In the second half, the game was so balanced and I think it was a fair game,” he added.

“In the second half, they (DR Congo) came all out but we managed to contain them. Now focus shifts to the next game against Tanzania.”

Byekwaso made several changes especially in the forward areas introducing Najib Iga, Sam Ssenyonjo, Bright Anukani and Salim Abdallah.
