Uganda Premier League 2021-2022 (Replay)
- Onduparaka 1-1 KCCA
The much-awaited replay between Onduparaka and KCCA played on a neutral Bombo Military Playground failed to produce a winner, with the tie ending one-all.
KCCA bossed the opening 20 minutes of the first stanza, scoring through Denis Iguma.
Onduparaka replied in the subsequent part of the first 45 minutes, finding the equalizer after defender Filbert Obenchan headed past his own goalkeeper and captain Benjamin Ochan.
Iguma connected with midfielder Abubakar Ali Gift’s inviting corner kick after 18 minutes to give the Kasasiro Boys the lead.
Obenchan back-headed over the advancing goalkeeper Ochan for the equalizer with 7 minutes to end the first half.
In the second half, Onduparaka got close, with talismanic captain Muhammad Shaban missing a sitter in front of the goal area in the 54th minute.
The Catarpillars defended in numbers to avoid conceding any other goal as the tie ended one-all.
Prior to the game, KCCA had threathened not to play the replay but succumbed when FUFA delivered the response from the appeals committee.

In protest, KCCA management used their third black kit and they also urged their loyal fans to don the black jersey.
Onduparaka’s new signing Dennis Ojara was named the pilsner man of the match, earning Shs. 200,000 and a plaque.

The draw leaves KCCA in the second position with 32 points from 15 matches as Vipers who humbled SC Villa 3-0 a day earlier at St Mary’s top the standings with 33 points.
Onduparaka is 13th with 14 points collected in 15 outings.
