Uganda Premier League 2021-2022 (Matchday 18)

Arua Hill was denied maximum points at the death of their game during a 2-all draw with visiting BUL during Matchday 18 of the Uganda Premier League on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at Barifa Stadium.

Samuel Kayongo Ssekamatte and Wahab Gaddafi were on target for the hosts.

Karim Ndugwa and a late penalty from Simon Peter Oketch gave BUL some reason to smile with a point back home.

Ndugwa scored his first-ever goal at BUL since his January 2022 transfer in the 16th minute.

Ssekamatte brought the game level with a great free-kick 10 minutes later.

Arua Hill took command of the game for the first time Wahab’s goal on the stroke of halftime.

It was perhaps BUL that had the last smile when Oketch beat goalkeeper Erick Kibowa from 12 yards.

Oketch’s penalty followed a foul by Rashid Toha on Ndugwa in the forbidden area.

Wahab was named man of the match, taking home a plaque and cash worth Shs. 100,000.

BUL secured a precious point in their 6th draw of the season as they now have 30 points from 18 games in fourth position.

Arua Hill remained 6th with after the draw, their 5th of the season with 29 points.

Meanwhile, Tooro United and Sports Club Villa shared the spoils during a 1-all stalemate at the Buhinga Stadium, Fort Portal on the same day.

Towering defender Bernard Agele gave the Jogoos the lead on three minutes with a powerful header off a well-taken corner kick by Davis Ssekajja.

Tooro United equalized through a penalty by on-form midfielder Muhamad Senoga.

The penalty arose after a handball by Fred Agandu for blocking a shot from Hussein Mwanje.
