Mbale Heroes pip NEC to make round of 16 grade | 48th Uganda Cup

• Tepa 0 (3) – 0 (4) Iganga Young
• Luweero United 1 () – 1 () Ndejje University

Eastern regional league entity Mbale Heroes overcame their Kampala counterparts NEC 1-0 during the round of 32 contest in the 2021-2022 Stanbic Uganda Cup at the Sansiro playground in Mbale.

James Mukebeezi headed home the evening’s lone goal in the 25^th minute.

Mbale Heroes had started falsely when they missed a 5^th minute through Fahad Nsamba.

Meanwhile, Wakiso Giants humbled visiting Kyetume 5-2 at the Kabaka Kyabaggu stadium in Wakiso.

Samuel Ssenyonjo (on loan from KCCA) scored a hat-trick.

Skipper Hassan Ssenyonjo and Tom Masiko added the two other goals.

Kyetume’s two goals arrived from Ezra “Rubber Boy” Bidda.

Other matches:

Elsewhere, Ndejje University advanced to the last 16 following a 4-2 post match penalty victory over nemesis entity Luweero United.

Normal time had tied 1-all at the Kosovo playground.

Brian Ssali gave Ndejje University the lead before the equalizer arrived for the home side from Derrick Mudali.

At the Ngora High playgrounds, Iganga Young overcame home side Tepa 4-3 in post penalties after normal time had ended 0-0.

The Uganda Cup round of 32 matches continue on Wednesday, 23^rd February 2022.
