A ten man Tooro United stunned table leaders Vipers 1-0 on match day 20 of the 2021-2022 Uganda Premier League at the Buhinga stadium on Friday, 11th March 2022.
Mark Nsubuga scored the all important goal of the well contest physical game.
Nsubuga scored in the79th minute off an assist from Muhammed “Kagawa” Senoga.
There was a red card in the game to Martin Alinaitwe, following a second bookable offence in the 84th minute.
Veteran diligent defender Musa Docca was named the pilsner man of the match, earning a plaque and cash worth Shs. 100,000.
This was only Tooro United’s third victory of the season in as many as 20 matches as they remain rock bottom of the 16 team standings with 12 points.
Vipers remain top with 43 points despite having suffered their third loss of the campaign.
Meanwhile, Soltilo Bright Stars jumped out of the relegation red zone with a 3-0 home win over visiting BUL at the Kavumba Recreational Stadium in Wakiso.
Pacy winger Ibrahim Kasinde (penalty), midfielder Joseph Janjali and second half substitute Methodius Jjungu struck the goals for Paul Kiwanuka’ s coached side.
The contest between Busoga United and Police at Kakindu Stadiu, Jinja city ended in a goal-less stalemate.
