Baker Mbowa has been relieved of duties as assistant coach at URA, the club confirms.
The former Proline and Soltilo Bright Stars coach has been assistant to Sam Timbe since April 2022 when the club let go Simeon Masaba and other members of the technical staff.
“We wish to announce that URA FC has parted was with assistant coach Baker Mbowa with immediate effect..,” read part of the statement on the club website.
“Mbowa joined the club in April 2022 and has been serving as assistant coach to Sam Timbe.
“For now, Timbe remains head coach and his new assistant will be named very soon.”
URA had an abysmal first round where they underperformed and currently sit 11th with 14 points from as many games.
Mbowa becomes the second person to leave URA in the transfer window after striker Derrick Nsibambi.
The club are yet to confirm any signings but will soon do with Joshua Lubwama and Bruno Bunyaga according to reliable sources.
