URA FC have confirmed the departure of loyal servant Shafik Kuchi Kagimu after seven years at the club on mutual consent.
The highly rated attacking midfielder joined the Tax men in 2015 from Water FC and has been an integral part of the team which he has also captained.
Kagimu fell out with the hierarchy at the club in the first round of the ongoing 2022/23 season and rarely featured as the club struggled for results.
He is part of the seven players the club has parted ways in the current window.
Others are Jackson Nunda who like Kagimu leaves on mutual consent, Joachim Ojera, George Senkaaba, Patrick Matovu and Michael Lubowa who leave on loan to Rayon Sport, Kitara, Kyetume FC and Impala Hill respectively as well as Derrick Nsibambi who joined Oman’s Albashaer.
The four-time league winners have added Joseph Ssemujju, Alfred Leku, Bruno Bunyaga, Joshua Lubwama and Nicholas Kabonge to their roaster in the window.
