The second round of the National Motocross Championship is set to initiate a new track in the championship this weekend.

The event heads to Kalisizo in central Uganda on Sunday.

Over 40 riders in the respective categories will be on track to further assert their ambitions of the seasonal titles.

However, the new track is expected to pose a new challenge to all riders as it provides a different terrain design compared to others.

“Kalisizo is an inclining track. Something that is different from the tracks we have in the country. Imagine a rider taking jumps on steep inclining slopes.

“The track is so technical that it will need riders to be more focused like never before, to avoid making any mistakes or constant falls,” said George Semakula who designed the new track.

Former MX team Captain Maxime Van Pee will feature in tomorrow’s race as he takes it on with the younger generation in the MX1 category.

Away from the MX race, rally cars will as well feel the new track as they provide more entertainment to the MX fans.
