Liverpool fans in Uganda keenly follow the proceedings between their club and Manchester United at Fast Fusion Bar in Bugolobi, Kampala

Liverpool supporters in Uganda (UG-KOP) have continued to impact positively towards the local communities.

Using football to rally numbers, these fans have been able to conjure together various projects as blood donation, communal cleaning, tree planting (in Nakaseke), helping the orphans, sick, young and elderly, among others.

The club slogan “You’ll Never Walk alone” is amplified by vivid unity of these fans as testified by the general secretary Linekar Lumbuye.

As the Liverpool Football Club motto echoes ‘You’ll Never walk alone’, we have been able to join hands and make meaningful contributions so that we transform the communities where we live in. It is not merely about supporting football, but rather using the power of numbers to rally together resources and make society a better place to live in.

The UG-Kops intends to improve the lavatories at Masaka city based St Nazareth Orphanage center.

To this effect, a fundraising campaign to raise enough financial resources to a tune of over UGX 6,000,000 has started.

This fundraising drive is expected to last for at least 5 months before the lavatory will be constructed to improve the general health at St Nazareth Orphanage center.

This was officially launched during a fans party (with an activation by Standard Chartered Bank) held at Fast Fusion Bar in Bugolobi – Kampala on Sunday, 5th March 2023, a day Liverpool humiliated Manchester United 7-0 at the 53,394-seater Anfield stadium.

The UG-KOPS group was founded in 2012 with different leaders who are elected democratically.

The next election will happen in May 2023 to ensure smooth progress and continuity of the association.
