Bazooka balls donated to Uganda Youth Soccer Academy (UYSA). They are 15 units of soccer football size 4 (350g) and 15 other units of soccer football size 3 (290g).

Overview:

Uganda Youth Soccer Academy was founded in 2007 with a holistic vision to Empower the Youth, Girls and Women living in Urban Slums of Kampala Uganda Using Soccer.

The two Holy books; the Bible and Koran concur on a number of issues among which is giving.

“To give is better than to receive” these books relate.

The power of giving has been amplified through Bazooka Goal.

The football equipment manufacturers generously offered the Uganda Youth Soccer Academy (UYSA) an assortment of football gear.

The items donated includes 42 units of extendable goal posts (BGEXT1), 10 units of portable goal posts (BGXXL1), 15 units of soccer football size 4 (350g) and 15 other units of soccer football size 3 (290g).

These will distributed to Ugandan football kindergartens, schools and orphanages in the slums of Kampala city to beef up the crucial grassroots football projects.

The donation was arranged through UYSA’s long-time UK partner Protouch Soccer Academy boss, Ash Rahman.

Ivan Kakembo, UYSA founder and director expressed delight upon the donation.

It is surreal for our children living on the streets and in the slums of Kampala to enjoy state of the art equipment, this is a major boost for us and the football development in Uganda. We hope this is the first of many donations.

A Uganda Youth Soccer Academy (UYSA) player holds an old ball. The demand for balls in Uganda among the underprivileged children is overwhelming.

The donation comes at the right opportune timing when the need for sports equipment is needed by many underprivileged albeit talented youngsters in Uganda.

Right from clothings (shirts, shorts, sockings, shin-guards, boots) to balls, goals, whistles and others, the limitations of equipment is a big push away factor to many prospective footballers.

Therefore Bazooka’s donation is envisaged as a step in the desired right direction.

For starters, Uganda Youth Soccer Academy was founded in 2007 with a holistic vision to Empower the Youth, Girls and Women living in urban slums of Kampala Uganda using soccer.
