Striker Sadat Happy Anaku will not be available for Uganda for the forthcoming 2023 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers.

Uganda Cranes will face Taifa Stars in a doubleheader with the first leg slated for Friday before the two teams play again four days later.

According to a communication on the FUFA website, the striker is ruled out due to injury.

“Forward Sadat Happy Anaku will not be available for selection in both encounters against Tanzania due to an injury as communicated by his club, Dundee United,” reads a statement on the FUFA website.

With Captain Emmanuel Okwi, Farouk Miya, Steven Sserwadda and Isma Mugulusi joining the camp on Tuesday, this means only Khalid Aucho is yet to arrive.

The midfielder who plies his trade with Young Africans in Tanzania is expected to arrive in Ismailia on Wednesday.

Uganda will play Tanzania on Friday 24th March at Suez Canal Authority Stadium before the two teams face off again four days later at Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium in Dar es Salaam.
