Ugandan striker Steven Dese Mukwala scored twice as his Ghanaian club Asante Kotoko registered a 4-0 win over Real Tamale United on Sunday at Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.

The former Vipers SC and Maroons FC forward scored twice in the second half to help his side return to winning ways.

The other goals came from Augustine Agyempong and Brazilian Medeiros De Souza who was making his debut.

Mukwala now has ten league goals, just one goal behind Berekum Chelsea’s Mezack Afriyie who has 11 goals and leads the scoring chart.

The Porcupines came into this game on the back of two successive losses which led to the sacking of coach Seydou Zerbo.

With Abdul Gazelle taking charge in an interim capacity, Asante Kotoko put up a remarkable performance to return to the rails.

The win took them to fifth place on 38 points, six behind leaders Aduana Stars but Asante Kotoko has a game in hand.
