KCCA confirmed the signing of goalkeeper Mutwalibi Mugolofa on a short term contract until the end of 2023–24 season.

The former Vipers custodian who also had stints with Mbarara City becomes the first signing for the club in the mid-season transfer window and the first since Abdallah Mubiru took over.

Mugolofa joins Kasasiro as the fourth goalkeeper for the 2023–24 season and will compete with the trio of Derrick Ochan, Anthony Emojong, and Juma Mutebi.

He joins the Lugogo based team from Fufa Big League side Jinja North FC and is set to galvanise the goalkeeping department that kept only one clean sheet in the first round of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.

Mugolofa spoke to the club media ahead of his move and said,

“I am happy to be here. I set goals for myself this year and part of those were to get back to my very best. KCCA FC offers me an opportunity and I have come here to compete with the other good goalkeepers at the club. I am pleased with the philosophy at the club and I cannot wait to get started when the second-round resumes.”
