Dismas Indiza claimed K.Shs 150,000 ( at least Ug.Shs 3,574,526) for his hard toiled sweat at Karen on top of an iconic trophy. Uganda’s Ronald Rugumayo came second and earned Kshs 100,000 (at least Ug.Shs 2,383, 017).

Kenya’s legendary professional golfer Dismas Anyonyi Indiza won the Safari Tour leg at Karen Golf and Country club in Nairobi on Wednesday, February 7, 2024.
Indiza had a flawless four rounds of free-flowing golf, recording under par scores throughout the four rounds to win with a total gross of 270 (-18).
During the opening 18 holes, Indiza scored 4-under 68. He further improved with 6-under 66, his best during the Karen leg.

For round three, he scored 3-under 69 and finished with 5-under 67 to claim the biggest share of the total prize kitty.
On the final day, Indiza had an eye-catching eye score on the par-5 hole no.2 with birdies on par-4 hole no.8, par-4 hole 10, par-4 hole 12, par-3 hole 14.
He recorded pars on 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 16 and 18 with the only grey patch on the par-4 hole no. 17 where he record a bogie.
In total Indiza scored 19 birdies, 2 eagles, 46 pars and 5 bogies in the 72 holes over four days.
He claimed K.Shs 150,000 ( at least Ug.Shs 3,574,526) for his hard toiled sweat on top of an iconic trophy.

Indiza beat Uganda’s Ronald Rugumayo, who scored 276 total in 72 holes’ action.
Rugumayo who lead round two and three earned Kshs 100,000 (at least Ug.Shs 2,383, 017) after a dismissal 4-over 76 during the final round.

Another Kenyan, Greg Snow who had the best round on the final day (6 under, 66 gross) came third to claim Kshs 80,000 (at least Ug.Shs 1,906,413).
Two other Kenyans Mutahi Kibugu and Samuel Njoroge were fourth and fifth with 283 and 286 gross marks respectively.
Rwanda’s Celestine Nsanzuwera scored 287 (-1) to claim the 6th place.
Mohit Mediratta (288), Sunday Olapade (289), Tonny Omuli (289), Tony Omuli (289), Mike Kisia (289) and Zimbabwean Visitor Mapwanya (289) occupied the respective 11 positions.
The second Ugandan who made the cut, Abraham Ainamani finished 21st overall with a total gross of 301 (71, 79, 76 and 75) to pocket K.Shs 1100 (at least Ug.Shs 262,131).
Safari Tour Ranking 2023-2024 season:
Indiza toppled the rest of the professionals on the overall order of merit for the 2023-2024 Safari Tour rankings.
Rugumayo was 11th with David Kamulindwa coming 12th whilst another Ugandan, Abraham Ainamani was 13th.
Phillip Kasozi (17th), Tadeo Rodel Gaita (24th) and Marvin Kibirige (27th) were the other Ugandans on the show.
