A massive turn up of golfers is anticipated as the 2024 Kabalaza open takes center stage at the lake side Par-71 Entebbe club on Saturday, February 10.
The overnight rains in Entebbe and the surrounding areas definitely will have an impact on the course that is decimated with numerous pine trees, several dog legged fairways, undulating terrain and excellent greens.
With the big turn up, action commenced as early as 7AM and the final tee-offs for the day will come past 1 PM.
As per the draw released on the eve of the championship, over 150 golfers had confirmed participation for this day-long event that will be run on a medal format of play.

A couple of seasoned golfers (male and female), affluent gross players and artisans are all in the mix.
In some of the early tee-offs; Ellis Katwebaze will play at 8:30 AM with Paul Okware, Nelson Musinguzi and Collins Mwesigwa.
Shoe-Man International manager Mathias Kalule drives off at 8:40 AM with John Sebuliba as well as the pairing of Ivan Arinaitwe and Sheila Najjita.
National team and top gross players Elton Thembo and Micheal Tumusiime are in the same pool as Joseph Galiwango and Herbert Mwetemba, starting at 8:50 AM.


One of the staunch Kabalaza group die-hard, Paul Nsereko will swing off at 11:20 AM alongside Moureen Okura, Rita Apell and Mugisha Muntu.
Former Uganda Cricket Association Chief Executive Officer Justine Ligyalingi is playing with Tony Kisadha, Joseph Bagabo and Richard Mwami at 11:50 AM.
Entebbe Club chairperson Eng. Jacob Byamukama is in the same pool with Robbins Mwehaire, Twinemanzi Twemwine and Peter Kagumya at 10:30 AM.
Entebbe club captain Serwano Walusimbi, alongside usual suspect Peter Magona will play with Paul Katuramu and John Paul Namoma at 11:30 AM.
12:30 PM match has the John entity of Kato and Muchiri, Mathias Zungu and Emmanuel Lwanga.
Ten minutes later will witness the Attorney General of Uganda Kiryowa Kiwanuka, teeing off with Elly Mukasa, Andrew Kibaya and Edward Kabuchu.

Former Entebbe Club captain Oscar Semawere will drive off at 12:50 PM with the trio of Marvin Kagoro, Tevin Okiru and Ronald Osekeny.
Uganda Golf Union (UGU) president Moses Matsiko is booked for 1:20 PM with Street Club Executive director Ali Juuko, Dennis Kahindi and John Paul Basabose.
Action on the fairways and greens is expected to climax by 6:30 PM before a prize giving ceremony and merry making at the 19th hole.
