Round of 64

  • Kumi United vs URA – Kumi

Record holders KCCA and Express return to Stanbic Uganda Cup action as they take on Jinja North United FC and Rwenzori Lions respectively.

The Kasasiro play away at Kakindu, their second successive away game in the competition while Express will be home.

Abdallah Mubiru is aware of the trickery in this kind of competitions and has cautioned his players to take their Fufa Big League opponents seriously.

“There is no easy team in this competition,” he stated. “Its 90 minutes of football with a target to win and here, the performance matters less but winning is the priority,” he added.

Express beat MYDA on Tuesday 1-0 and will hope to build on that victory.

Meanwhile, current holders Vipers and fellow premier league side Kitara are the first sides in the round of 16.

The Venoms overcame Regional side Rugarama FC 5-4 on penalties while Kitara saw off fellow premier league opponents Gaddafi 2-0 at Masindi on Friday.
