Ali Ramathan Mwirusi

Goalkeeper Ali Ramathan Mwirusi has joined Squires Gate Football Club, a regional entity in Blackpool, Lancashire, England – United Kingdom.

The goalkeeper signed a two-year deal with Squires Gate Football club who are currently managed by Luke Evans, a chief scout at English premiership giants, Manchester United.

Mwirusi is a former goalkeeper at Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Football Club who also featured at Amus College School, Kibuli Secondary School and St Mary’s Boarding school, Kitende.

Last year, Mwirusi played at Spanish side; Villajoyosa Sports Club, a fifth tier team in Spain’s football pyramid.

Earlier in 2022, Mwirusi also held trials with French outfit FC Vaulz En-Velin.

Mwirusi is one of the players under the management of Festoweb sports management.

The move to Squires Football Club was precipitated by Festoweb’s partner in Global Football Network UK.

Squires Football Club currently plays in the North West Counties Football League and hosts their home matches at the 1000-seater Brian Addison stadium (FY4 5DS).

The club is christened as “The Blues” and was officially founded in 1948.
