Tag it as a football exhibition; yes. It was a football showcase at the Kitovu Sports Arena in Masaka city on Sunday, 28th April 2024 as Bukedea based Amus College School ran amoke.
Goal scoring was the language spoken at the famous football Arena with 14 goals netted by Amus College School against little known Maddox Secondary School from Kyenjojo district.
Hakim Musabba ran the show almost single-handedly with a haul (four goals) to his name.
Two sets of braces from Mansoor Bashir, Al Mahad Bin Umar Doku and skipper Toto Majobe were also supplemented with a goal apiece by Osman Bakoe, Geneis Odia, John Brian Otim and Shafik Wasangwa.
This was Amus College’s second win of the campaign with a game left to play on Monday, 29th April 2024.
Maddox SS had also lost 1-4 to Kyaddondo SS at the Masaka Recreational Stadium.
“We need to continue creating and scoring goals. The target is to emerge as champions” Nimrod Kintu, head coach of Amus College School stated.

Elsewhere, Buddo Secondary School defeated Mpigi region representatives Bulo Parents 6-0 at the Kasana playground.
At the Sports Arena, Jinja Progressive Academy also registered a 6-0 win over Kampala’s Uganda Martyr’s Lubaga.
Hosts Masaka SS humbled Makobere SS 6-0 at the Masaka SS playground.
Kibuli SS beat St Augustine Minor Seminary 4-0, also at Masaka SS playground.
St Henry’s Kitovu edged Kabalega SS 1-0 and Blessed Sacrament Kimanya overcame Bukedea Comprehensive 2-1.
Mbale Progressive and Kisozi Seed played to a non scoring stalemate.

Meanwhile, girls’ football, hockey, basketball, table tennis, badminton and rugby (15’s) is currently happening in Luweero with Ndejje Secondary School as hosts.
