Platinum Credit Heathens and Stanbic Black Pirates are the last men standing in the 2024 Nile Special Rugby Championship.

The two rival clubs qualified for the Championship Playoffs Final after edging KOBs and Jinja Hippos in their respective semifinal ties.

Despite losing the second-round match at Kyadondo, Heathens beat KOBs by 42-36 aggregate points. Pirates, on the other hand, bounced from a first-round defeat at Damwaters to knock out Hippos by 54-51 points.

Heathens and Pirates met at Kyadondo on the opening day of the Championship’s regular season. The result was in favour of Heathens by a 16-12 margin.

Their second meeting in the Championship Final will be on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at a yet-to-be-confirmed venue.

Although media reports reported that it would be the Mandela National Stadium at Namboole, URU announced Kyadondo Rugby Club.
