The semi finals will be played on Sunday 2nd June 2024 at the Mutesa II Wankulukuku stadium ahead of the grand finale on 8th June 2024.

2024 Bika Bya Baganda Football Championship (Quarter-finals):

  • Omutima Omusagi 1-0 Mbogo
  • Ngabi Nsamba 1 (4) – 1 (2) Mmamba Kakoboza
  • Ngoonge 1 (4) – 1 (5) Nkima
  • Mpindi 1 (7) – 1 (6) Ngeye

A new champion awaits to be crowned in the 2024 Bika Bya Baganda Football Championship.

This follows the elimination of the reigning champions Ngoonge clan during the quarterfinal stage.

The quarterfinals were played on Wednesday, 29th May at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium and Mutesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku.

Omutima Omusagi, Ngabi Nsamba, Nkima and Mpindi are the four clans that qualified for the semifinals.

Junior Lusaggi scored the day’s lone strike as Omutima Omusagi overcame Mbogo 1-0.

Ngabi Nsamba edged out Mmamba Kakoboza 4-2 in post-match penalties after normal time had ended in a one-all draw at Wankulukuku.

Hakim Mutebi scored Mmamba Kakoboza’s goal in the 64th minute whilst Samson Kasozi was on target for Ngabi Nsamba with four minutes to end the game.

Holders Ngoonge lost 4-5 to Nkima in post-match penalties following a one-all stalemate.

Sharif Kimbowa got the opener for Ngoonge before Robert Ssentongo replied for Nkima to push the game into decisive penalties.

Ngoonge’s Ronald Ssekiganda was sent off for a second bookable offence.

Another quarterfinal duel was decided by penalties as Mpindi ejected Ngeye after normal time ended one goal apiece.

Edward Kawooya scored Nyege’s goal in normal time with Ronald Mugalu finding the goal for Mpindi.

In the shoot-out, Mpindi won 7-6. The semifinals will be played on Sunday 2nd June 2024 at the Mutesa II Wankulukuku stadium ahead of the grand finale on 8th June 2024.
