Fortebet Real Stars Monthly Awards (May 2024)

National Insurance Corporation (NIC) netball club player Fildausi Namulema has won the Fortebet real stars award for the month of May 2024.
Namulema, a center-cum-wing attacker was part of the NIC team that won the 2024 East African netball championship in Dar-es-salaam city, Tanzania.
At the same tournament, she was also named the most valuable player (MVP).
She beat teammate Rachael Nanyonga and Prisons’ Christine Namulumba.
“I am happy for this award. It took determination and teamwork to win the championship in Tanzania” Namulema stated as she received the award at Lazio restaurant in Kololo, Kampala.
Namulema featured in all NIC’s eight games at the championship played on round-robin format where she was influential.
NIC won their 22nd title in the history of this championship.
Other winners:
Platinum Credit Heathens’ Daniel Malcom Okello won the rugby award, toppling Emily Lekuru and Ivan Magomu.
Kawempe Muslim women football club player Shadia Nabirye won the football accolade, beating Vipers’ captain Milton Karisa and Emmanuel Ajo, a footballer at relegated Busoga United.
All the three winners each received a plaque and cash won Ug. Shs 500,000 apiece.
Real Stars Sports Agency executive director Isaac Mukasa presented the awards ceremony, flanked by the sponsors’ representatives from Fortebet and Jude Colour Solutions.
These awards have been organized since 2018.
