The women’s pools for the second round of the 2025 World Rugby 7s Challenger Series promise to be extremely competitive.
They were drawn and released after conclusion of the first round. Uganda Women won just one out of four matches they played, which was a disappointing result from last weekend.
For the second round, Uganda is in Pool A with familiar and highly competitive opponents.
Women’s Pools for Round Two of the 2025 7s Challenger Series:
- Pool A: Kenya, Uganda, Belgium.
- Pool B: Argentina, Czechia, Hong Kong China.
- Pool C: South Africa, Poland, Samoa.
- Pool D: Colombia, Thailand, Mexico.
Kenya are renowned and fierce local continental rivals. Belgium are becoming frequent 7s Challenger opponents.
While Kenya, champions in the first round, are far ahead in the standings, Uganda and Belgium follow each other in eighth and ninth places on the current standings.
Uganda’s Fixtures (kickoff times EAT):
- 1.44 p.m.: Uganda v Belgium
- 8.36 p.m.: Kenya v Uganda
These matches will be played on Friday, March 7 at the Athlone Stadium and will be broadcast on RugbyPass TV.
