JT Jaguars registered a well-deserved 83-70 victory over KCCA Panthers in the National Basketball League at Lugogo Indoor Arena on Friday.
Ceasar Kizito was perfect on the line in the final play of the first period as KCCA Panthers opened a slight two-point (20-18) lead.
Toussaint Mampuya’s deep long shot inspired the Panthers to a six-point lead going into the long break.
Ian Lubwama’s buzzer three-point jump shot opened a seven-point (52-45) lead at the end of the third period.
Kevin Moru managed two shots beyond the arc as the Jaguars secured a 13-point victory.
Peter Sifuma managed a double-double, scoring 15 points and picking 22 rebounds. Kevin Moru (27 points) and Ian Lubwama (23 points) also contributed in double digits.
Davis Assimwe (29 points) and Emmanuel Odongkara (11 points) are the only KCCA players to reach double digits.
