Vivo Energy Uganda has continued its commitment to the success of the Pearl of Africa Uganda rally with another sponsorship boost.
Vivo Energy, the marketer and distributor of Shell-branded fuels and lubricants in Uganda, sealed a Ugx. 100 million sponsorship for the Africa Rally Championship event. With that, the fuel company will yet again have the rally title rights under its brand Shell.
The support reflects the company’s mission to invest in local talent, champion road safety, and power the growth of motorsport across the country.
“We are proud to be the title sponsor of the Shell V-Power Pearl of Africa Uganda Rally once again,” said Joanita Menya Mukasa, the Managing Director of Vivo Energy Uganda.
“Our long-standing partnership with the Federation reflects our unwavering commitment to the motorsport community in Uganda. Through this sponsorship, we aim to support the dreams and aspirations of rally drivers and enthusiasts across the country,” she added.

Menya further stated that being involved in motorsport was a platform for engineering innovation, youth empowerment, and national pride.
“By investing in events like this, we are helping to build a stronger sporting ecosystem and inspiring the next generation of drivers, engineers, and fans,” she emphasised.
Through the Federation President Hon. Jimmy Akena, Vivo Energy’s shot in the arm was greatly appreciated.
“We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Vivo Energy Uganda for the Shell V-Power Pearl of Africa Uganda Rally. Their steadfast support has been instrumental in the growth and success of motorsport in Uganda year after year.”
“They have helped elevate the rally to new heights, bringing professionalism, visibility, and crucial funding that fuels both the event and the sport at large,” he added.
