Emmanuel Anyama points to the skies after scoring

The Kampala Derby between SC Villa and KCCA FC ended in a draw as the two sides faced off on Wednesday at Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku.

The game was played on a wet surface following rains in and around Kampala for the better part of the day.

Emmanuel Anyama bagged a brace for KCCA FC on the day while SC Villa got their goals through Charles Lwanga and Reagan Mpande.

Anyama who scored twice as KCCA FC defeated Mbale Heroes in the first leg of the semifinals of Uganda Cup on Sunday continued with his impressive form, opening the scores today in Wankulukuku.

The forward tucked home from close range in the 22nd minute after a quick interplay with Ashiraf Mugume.

The hosts were however able to restore parity in the 37th minute through Lwanga who struck home from a well delivered cross by Mpande.

Goalkeeper Brady Wokorach hit the ball long into the path of Mpande who beat off his marker before teeing up Lwanga in the box.

At the stroke of halftime, SC Villa were awarded a penalty when Peter Magambo held the ball inside the box. Mpande took the resultant penalty to give the Jogoos a 2-1 lead the break.

Seven minutes after recess, Anyama scored his second of the day heading home from a chipped cross from Brazilian Joao Gabriel.

Either side made efforts to reclaim the lead but eventually settled for a point.

The result leaves KCCA FC in fifth place on 41 points while SC Villa are eighth on 39 points.
