St. Noa Girls School are the Champions of the 2024/25 FUFA Women Elite League.

The School side emerged as champions on Sunday after overcoming Asubo Ladies FC in the final played at Kabaka Kyabagu Stadium.

The closely contested final played under a heavy downpour saw St. Noa edge it 1-0 courtesy of Slivia Kabene’s goal.

The pacy forward capitalized on a miscommunication by goalkeeper Olga Lukia Bitiru and her defender who failed to clear the ball and Kabene was quick to poke it into the back of the net.

The goal eventually turned out to be the decisive moment of the game.

It should be noted that both St. Noa and Asubo Ladies have already earned promotion to next season’s FUFA Women Super League.

St. Noa topped Elizabeth Group unbeaten, garnering 32 points while Asubo led Victoria Group on 29 points.

St. Noa’s Kabene was named the Most Valuable Player, while her teammate Lillian Nakirya emerged as the goalkeeper of the season.

Faith Akoi of Gold Star FC was the top scorer with 13 goals.
