A run code named “Pad a girl Maracha run” has been organized in Maracha district on Saturday, 28th June 2025.

This run is intended to raise resources to procure pads for the young girls in Maracha district, West Nile region.

Sarah Aseru, an aspiring woman member of parliament for Maracha district urges the people to turn up in big numbers and support this worthwhile noble cause.

As an aspiring Woman MP, I call on our community to support Pad a Girl Maracha. No girl should miss school because of her period. Together, let’s break the silence, provide pads, and protect her dignity. When we empower the girl child, we build futures, and transform Maracha district.

The official start and finishing point is at Bura primary school, Maracha, commencing as early as 7 a.m.

Stakeholders:

A number of collaborative partners have joined hands to make this run eventful.

These include;Amani Inititative, Machro, Entrepreneurial education for a changing society, Voice of restoration international, Protect SRHR, PICOT, Ama Tualu Cbo (ATC), among others.
