MTN Mobile Money Uganda, in partnership with the Uganda Rugby Union, announced the launch of ticket sales for the upcoming Rugby Africa Cup 2025.

The announcement was made alongside the extension of their partnership for another three years as the tournament’s official payment partner at a joint press briefing held at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole, where the premier continental rugby championship will be hosted.

MTN MoMo’s General Manager Corporate and Legal Services, Denis Kakonga, spoke about the strategic significance of the partnership.

“Our continued partnership with the Uganda Rugby Union is a demonstration of our dedication to building the largest and most valuable platform in Uganda, in line with MTN’s Ambition 2025.

“The MoMo ticketing platform simplifies access to experiences that matter, and rugby fans across the country can now conveniently purchase their Rugby Africa Cup 2025 tickets securely and affordably from wherever they are,” said Kakonge.

Fans can now purchase their tickets through the MTN MoMo app or via the dedicated website, with a range of pricing options available to suit every fan.

This is the second consecutive year that Uganda is hosting the Rugby Africa Cup at the refurbished Mandela National Stadium, Namboole, with the game to be played at the annexe pitch. This year’s edition carries the bold theme: “Feel the African Spirit”.
