The 2025 Buganda Masaza football competition will officially kick off on Saturday, 21st June at the Sports Arena in Kitovu, Masaka city.
Buddu Ssaza takes on record champions Gomba in the official opening match of this year’s championship where a mammoth crowd is anticipated.
The tournament was officially launched by the Prime minister of Buganda Kingdom Katikiro Owek. Charles Peter Mayiga.
Owek. Mayiga was flanked by the other Buganda Kingdom officials, Masaza chiefs, organizing committee officials and the representatives from the different sponsors.
Plascon Paints, one of the sponsors of the tournament were ably represented by Daniel Kayongo, the brand manager.
“It fills me with great pride to stand before you as we officially launch the 2025 Masaza Cup, a tournament that embodies the spirit, talent, and unity of the Buganda Kingdom.” Kayongo started off his speech.
“For three consecutive years, Plascon has stood as a proud co-sponsor of this prestigious competition, and today, we reaffirm our commitment to nurturing the dreams of young athletes and celebrating the rich culture of Buganda through sports.” Kayongo added.
