Wydad Athletic Club, Casablanca suffered their second defeat in as many games at the ongoing FIFA Club World Cup in the United States.

The Moroccan giants came into Sunday’s game against Juventus on the back of a 2-0 loss to Manchester City.

The difference in level indeed told as Italian outfit, Juventus cruised to a 4–1 win at the Lincoln Financial Field in a game watched by over 30,000 fans.

Juventus took an early lead through Abdelmounaim Boutouil’s own goal in the sixth minute, directing Kenan Yildiz’s effort into his own net.

Yildiz went ahead to double the lead for the Old Lady ten minutes later with arguably a goal of the tournament contender.

Thembinkosi Lorch pulled one back for Wydad in the 25th minute but Juventus were able to stretch their lead in the second half.

Yildiz got his second and Juventus’ third midway through the second half before substitute Dusan Vlahovic put the icing on the cake, converting from the spot.

With two losses, the Moroccan outfit out of contention for a knockout place even before their final group game against Al Ain on Thursday.
