Kyaggwe Ssaza football team continued to prepare for the 2025 Buganda Masaza Cup with yet another build-up at their Mukono Bishops fortress on Sunday, 22nd June 2025.
In the latest warm-up duel, Kyaggwe overcame Islanders Buvuma 2-0.
Yusuf Mukwana and Ivan Mutebi (penalty) scored the goals for the home side before hundreds of fans.


Fundraiser:
To kick-start the campaign with a financial boost, there was a fundraising drive to help raise funds that will be used for the logistics and other operational costs.
St Mary’s College Lugazi and the committee chairperson, Hon. Steven Sserubula, each offered Ugx 10,000,000 apiece.
The patron, Hon. Lulume Bayiga, offered Ugx 7,000,000. Hon. Fred Kayondo (Ug.Shs 3,000,000), Katosi people (Ug.Shs 2,200,000), and Ridar Hotel (Ug.Shs 1,000,000).
Other donations:
Master Industries offered water for the entire season, Ugx 1 M (Women and Kids Organization, Kyaggwe), HB Properties (100 boxes of water), Magero Properties (Ug.Shs 100,000 per goal scored) and Councillor Faisal Kigongo provided a plot of land measuring 50X100 feet in Njeru Town Council.

Christened as “Bukunja Warriors”, Kyaggwe opens up the campaign on Sunday, 29th June 2025 against Kooki at Mukono Bishops SS playground.
Last season, Kyaggwe lost 0-1 to Buddu at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole.
