Excitement as Entebbe SS old students convene for second season | ENSSOSA League 2025

“Shinning glory, Golden Blessing, Build for the future we do…” goes the first line of the treasured anthem for Entebbe Secondary School.

A church founded institution; Entebbe SS is also a Government aided school whose founding year dates as far back as 1967.

That stated; for now 58 years, the school that emerged from the transformation of Chadwick Namate primary school maintains the status quo of producing the enviable sound citizens that mother Uganda desires and yearns for.

The Old Students for the school shall host the second edition of the sports gala code-named the ENSSOSA League on the red-letter date of Saturday, 19^th July 2025 at the school playground in Manyago, Entebbe Division A.

The theme of action is clear and well spelt out “Together against Teenage suicides”, a key social concern that has emanated from the depreciating stability of mental health among many people, especially teenagers.

It is all systems go prior to the official technical meeting on Wednesday, 9^th July 2025 at The Hub in Abaita Ababiri town as the 16 cohorts learn of their respective pools.

There are enticing cohort names as Team Nvubu (2012), FX Kijjambula (2009-2014), Fascists (class of 2010), Invincibles (1997-2002), Le Clan (2015-2020), Golden Legends, Fierce Eleven, Elites Investment Club, Mavericks, The Titans, Twilights and the reigning champions The Chosen ones (class of 2018), among others.

ENSSOSA League president Constant Araali assures the league is more than a mere reunion of old students.

The second edition of the ENSSOSA League is here. We expect a fantastic tournament. Old students will once again meet up, smile, play together and network. It is a must attend event for all the old students of Entebbe SS and well-wishers.

Football is the main sport to be played with an awarding ceremony to reward the outstanding teams and sports personalities.

On the side-lines, a couple of counseling sessions related to the theme on the day will be executed by a team of experts.

At the final bend prior to the anticipated kick-off, the league organizing team and individual cohorts are lobbying for a number of supportive partners and sponsors.

Action is expected to kick off by 9 am until late evening.

The Chosen Ones are the defending champions from the inaugural edition held last year.
