Besides football U-16, the USSSA Ball Games 2 also have the football U-14 version. The other games include Handball, Dancesport, Lacrosse, Netball, Rugby 7’s, Volleyball, Basketball 3x3 and Cross Country.

Latifah Mixed Secondary School emerged victorious after a penalty shootout against Seroma Christian High School to win the Boys’ U16 football crown at the USSSA Ball Games 2 Mukono Zonal Qualifiers, held at Kasana Vocational Secondary School.

The final saw top-tier competition from zonal representatives including Mt. St. Henry’s High School, Quality High School, Kasana Vocational SS, and St. Mary’s College Lugazi, representing both Kayunga and Buikwe districts.

However, it was Latifah Mixed SS and Seroma Christian High School who proved strongest, advancing to the final clash of the day.

The final match ended in a goalless draw after regulation time, with both sides having good defense lines and tactics.

In the ensuing penalty shootout, Latifah Mixed SS converted their spot-kicks with precision, edging Seroma to seal the zonal championship title.

With the win, Latifah Mixed SS will now carry Mukono Zone’s flag at the Ball Games 2 National Championships, scheduled to take place from 10th to 19th July 2025 at St. Peter’s College and Tororo Girls’ School in Tororo.

Both teams will now prepare to face off with the best from other zones across the country come the 10th  of July.
