Uganda Cranes co-coaches Morley Byekwaso and Fred Muhumuza have named the squad that will feature at the upcoming CECAFA 4 Nations Tournament in Arusha, Tanzania.

The coaches on Saturday named a 26-man squad that will set off for Arusha the next day.

Goalkeeper Hannington Ssebwalunyo, midfielder Shamir Kimwero and defender Ronald Otti have been dropped from the team that has been in camp.

The tournament will serve as an African Nations Championship (CHAN) precursor for the four teams, namely Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania and guests Senegal.

It should be noted that the tournament will see each team play two games. Uganda will face Kenya, while Tanzania will take on Senegal.

The first games will be played on the 23rd of July, with the winners facing off four days later. The same will occur to the losing teams.

CHAN 2024 will take place between 2nd -30th August in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.
