Mbabazi will join Abdallah Mubiru at Gaddafi Credit: John Batanudde

Abdallah Mubiru will work with four more coaches at Gaddafi, Kawowo Sports can exclusively report.

Goalkeeping coach Swaib Ssebagala and ex-Express and Bunamwaya defender Edward ‘Biano’ Ssali will stay on from the previous staff with two more new joining.

The two will be joined by former Ugandan internationals Livingstone Mbabazi and Godfrey Walusimbi.

Mbabazi who comes with a lot of experience from working at several premier league clubs including Arua Hill, Mbarara City, Onduparaka and Vipers will be the first team coach.

He re-unites with Mubiru with whom they worked on the national team, Uganda Cranes in 2021 as caretaker coaches.

For Walusimbi, it will be the first time he joins top tier management having worked with Nabbingo United in the lower echelons of football.

Gaddafi earned promotion to the premier league last season under new management and the technical staff main task will be to keep them afloat in the first year.

Mubiru has previously managed Proline, KCCA (twice), Police and Mbeya City in Tanzania besides the national team.
