Morocco have become the first team to arrive in East Africa for the TotalEnergies Africa Nations Championship (CHAN).

The local Atlas Lions, winners in 2018 & 2020 arrived in Nairobi in Kenya on Monday July 28, 2025.

The Moroccans are drawn in a tough Group A alongside hosts Kenya, Angola, Zambia, and DR Congo and will kick off their campaign against Angola on Sunday August 3 at the Nyayo National Stadium.

This will be the first time the tournament is hosted by three countries – Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania under Pamoja.

The tournament will kick off on Saturday August 2 in Dar es Salaam and end on August 30 at Moi International stadium, Kasarani.
