The delayed CHAN 2024 championship continued with Group D action on Tuesday, 5th August 2025 at the Amman stadium in Zanzibar.
Congo rallied from a goal down to earn a point over CECAFA representatives Sudan.
Hussein Musa scored the opener for Sudan towards the half hour mark to take a 1-0 lead by the mandatory half time break.
With four minutes to the end of the match, Congo sought for the much needed equalizer through Carly Landon Ekongo.
Two West African countries Nigeria and Senegal are the other countries in this pool.
Nigeria and Senegal face off in the second game on the day.
CHAN is played by players who feature in the respective domestic leagues on the African continent.
