Having given Ugandans a reason to believe on Friday with a dominant 3-0 victory against Guinea, Uganda Cranes have no room for error.

Uganda Cranes will lock horns with Niger in the African Nations Championship (CHAN) at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole on Monday, August 11.

With the assignment clearly aligned out, Uganda Cranes have to win to keep their quarterfinals dream alive.

Speaking in the press conference, Uganda Cranes head coach Morley Byekwaso noted the game means a lot.

“This game means a lot to us. All games are different and each has its unique challenges and technical approach,” he stated.

“I can’t promise you that we’ll have the same line up but we might make a few changes depending on the opponent,” he added.

Byekwaso credited Ugandan fans and asked them not to loose hope ahead of a highly anticipated game.

“We appreciate the fan base and the energy but mostly I thank them for showing up in large numbers,” he stated.

“It was my first time to see such a big crowd behind us. We respect them greatly and promise to give it our best because winning this game would significantly increase our chances of advancing past the group stages,” he concluded.
